The Miami Heat are in a precarious position heading into this upcoming offseason. After reaching the Eastern Conference Finals three times and the NBA Finals twice in the previous four seasons, the Heat lost convincingly to the Boston Celtics in the first round this year.
The worst part was that they couldn’t rely on their best player, Jimmy Butler. That’s something that has become a bit of a theme for the Heat given that Butler has missed over 15 games in each of his five seasons with the team.

Could Jimmy Butler leave Miami Heat to join Steph Curry?
With Butler’s future murky, Golden State Warriors fans have decided to use a recent Instagram story of the player as a sign he’s joining Stephen Curry in the Bay Area.
Obviously, it’s not overly serious and not a real report of anything going on between Butler and the Warriors. Butler was traveling to San Jose to take part in a promotional event for the apparel company Alo in Palo Alto.
Whether he met with any members of the Warriors, we will never know. But Butler certainly could be on the way out of Miami this summer.
The 34-year-old has a player option after the 2024-25 season, and the team could opt to get a trade haul for him before it comes to that.
