Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua made a sensational diving TD grab against the New England Patriots. Nacua’s highlight-reel play was the second touchdown for the Rams in two minutes of game action in the second quarter.
While the second-year receiver out of BYU has seen limited action this season due to a knee injury he suffered in the team’s season opener against the Detroit Lions, he has still had some bright spots.
Nacua’s best performances up to this point have come against the Minnesota Vikings (seven catches for 106 yards) and the Miami Dolphins (nine catches for 98 yards).
Nacua’s rookie campaign was history-making as the receiver recorded 105 receptions for an NFL rookie record 1,486 yards and six TDs. Nacua was also named a Pro Bowler and a Second-Team All-Pro.
Coming off a loss on Monday night to the Dolphins, the Rams are looking to get back on track against a 3-7 Patriots team that has yet to defeat a team with a .500 or better record.
While Nacua was slow to get up after the remarkable catch and was later seen headed toward the medical tent, he would eventually return to the game and finish the first half with an impressive six catches for 117 yards and a TD.
