The double Vienna Marathon champion, Vibian Chepkirui took the women’s title at the at the second edition of the Kapsabet 15km Road Race held on Sunday (16) in Nandi County.
Chepkirui who used this race as the preparation for the 2025 Vienna Marathon set for April 6, 2025 in Vienna, Austria, won the race in a time of 51:13.4 and was closely followed by Viola Chepng’eno in second place in 51:13.9 with Miriam Chepkoech sealing the podium in 51:53.8

“Today’s race was good. My body responded well from when I decided to go all the way. This was my first time taking part in the Betika Kapsabet 15km Road Race and I can say it was a good platform as part of my training for the upcoming Vienna Marathon in April” said Chepkirui.
