Wednesday night was a pretty good one for Oklahoma City. Not only did the Thunder become the first team in the NBA to clinch a playoff spot with a win over the Boston Celtics, MVP front-runner Shai Gilgeous-Alexander made OKC history. SGA set a franchise record for fewest games to reach the 10,000 point milestone, reaching the mark in just 368 games.
“He’s a tough cover,” said Boston’s Jaylen Brown after the game. “He’s been playing really good basketball. You got to tip your cap.”
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Gilgeous-Alexander’s 34 point night was his 60th-consecutive game with at least 20 points, joining Kevin Durant, Kobe Bryan and Michael Jordan as the only players since the NBA/ABA merger with such a streak.
