Gary Lineker has tipped Arsenal to win the Premier League having initially tipped Liverpool to retain their title.
The former Match of the Day host and football legend was speaking at the Legends of Football event to talkSPORT’s Shebahn Aherne where he admitted he’s changing his mind on the title race.
Lineker said alongside Alan Shearer: “I thought Liverpool at the start of the season, and now, I am swaying towards Arsenal.
“I think it will be one of them.”
Meanwhile, Shearer is sticking with the Reds, for now.
The Premier League winner with Blackburn said: “I said Liverpool, and there has only been seven or eight games.
“Ask me after 12 games, and I might change my mind and say Arsenal.”
On the night itself, Lineker said: “I am really looking forward to it. I have already seen a lot of old faces that I haven’t seen for a long time.
“So, lots of people that I played with. I’ve worked with in TV, so it’s great. A lot of fun.”
He also claimed Shearer had a better music taste than himself and was a good singer, but the Newcastle icon wouldn’t give talkSPORT a rendition despite some encouragement from Aherne.
But when pushed, Shearer wasn’t having any of it, saying: “No chance. No, I am not that daft.”

Liverpool’s wobble
Liverpool won their first five Premier League games of the season, but there were signs in some of them that the Reds weren’t quite at it.
They conceded two on opening night to Bournemouth before needing a last-minute winner to see off ten-man Newcastle.
The Magpies came from 2-0 down at St James’ Park, with Reds academy prospect Rio Ngumoha scoring the winner deep into stoppage time.
Then there was a 1-0 win over Burnley thanks to a stoppage-time Mohamed Salah penalty, which came after beating Arsenal 1-0, and the Reds then edged past Everton 2-1 in the Merseyside derby.
But a first defeat of the season to Crystal Palace was followed by a loss in the Champions League against Galatasaray and then, Chelsea scored a late winner courtesy of Estevao Willian at Stamford Bridge to make it three defeats in a week.
Defensively, there are concerns, while the new players signed over the summer are yet to settle in, bar Hugo Ekitike.

One Liverpool fan even told talkSPORT that Mohamed Salah should be dropped after several underwhelming displays.
Reds fan Ryan said: “I’m being controversial here. He should drop Salah. If you remember when Klopp won the title, back in 2019/2020, when we tried to defend it, the same thing happened. Then we started losing games left, right and centre.
“This is the same thing. I think history is repeating itself here again. I honestly think he should drop Salah.”
Liverpool fan Jordan added: “We are not necessarily better off without him. I don’t think his performances warrant starting every week.
“I do think Salah should be dropped because if you’re not performing, I don’t care who you are, you shouldn’t be playing.”
