A Hall of Famer is expected to return to WWE. In the last few years, fans have witnessed a lot of big names come back to the Stamford-based promotion.
Last year, former Women’s Champion Trish Stratus made her return during the Royal Rumble match. She then competed at the Elimination Chamber event in a tag team match before taking on Tiffany Stratton at Evolution in July.
Thanks for the submission!
However, this would be the last time fans saw her in action. This came as a surprise to many since she was expected to compete more frequently, given the fact it was her 25th year in WWE.
Now, according to Sean Ross Sapp on Fightful Select Answers Q&A, Stratus is expected to be back in the ring this year. It has been noted she has been open to creative discussions whenever WWE reached out over the years, and hence a return this year won’t come as a surprise.

Despite having retired from active in-ring competition in 2006, she has proven that she could still go in the ring. She has held her own against stars like Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch in recent years.
Trish Stratus shares update amid WWE return rumors
Trish Stratus has been keeping herself busy amid her in-ring hiatus. She recently provided an update on her schedule on social media.
Taking to Instagram, she noted that she has been occupied with photo shoots, signings, and magazine cover releases, among other things.
“6 flights, 2 photo shoots, 2 signings, 2 magazine cover releases, 1 panel, 1 calendar drop & SNME + 3 days of Christmas hosting,” she noted.
If Stratus ends up making a return to the ring this year, there would be a number of directions the creative can take with her. On RAW, stars like Stephanie Vaquer and Bayley will provide a fresh challenge, while on SmackDown there is a chance to revisit her feuds with Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton.
