Weaver, who was drafted by the Ravens in the second round of the 2002 NFL draft, returned to the team as their defensive line coach & run game coordinator in 2021. He was promoted to the assistant head coach & defensive line coach in 2022.
The former defensive end reportedly interviewed for the Ravens’ head-coaching job after John Harbaugh was fired in January.

Ravens continue coaching staff overhaul after failed 2025 season
Anthony Weaver’s hiring comes days after the Ravens hired former Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Declan Doyle as their new OC. Ravens coach Jesse Minter outlined the things Doyle would bring to the table in Baltimore.
“We are thrilled to welcome Declan to the Ravens Flock,” Minter said. “An architect of offense, Declan will build around our players through communication, collaboration, relationships and trust.
“His innovative mindset, collaborative spirit, team-first approach and extensive NFL experience make him an outstanding addition to the Ravens organization.”
The Ravens are heading into a new era under Minter after missing out on the postseason in 2025.
