“He should stick to talking less” “Better than Bad Bunny”: NFL fans react as Jalen Hurts picks $20,000,000 worth rapper for Super Bowl halftime show

Jalen Hurts may not be playing at Super Bowl LX this coming Sunday, but he still has some thoughts about the event.

On Monday, the Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks spoke to the press during practice for Tuesday’s Pro Bowl Games, which he will contest as a reserve. One of the topics he was asked about was the halftime show for Sunday’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots, which will be headlined by Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny.

At that moment, he said that if he were the organizer, he would turn to a $20-million alternative — Louisiana-based rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again:

“Youngboy. He’d turn it up for sure.”

Jalen Hurts eyeing Super Bowl return for 2026 season

Ever since Jalen Hurts became their full-time starter in 2021, the Eagles have been in an interesting pattern.

In the even-numbered seasons (2022 and 2024), they made the Super Bowl, both times against the Kansas City Chiefs, and won in the latter year. In the odd-numbered ones (2021, 2023, and 2025), however, they lost in the wild-card round.

Thus, naturally, Hurts is hoping for a return trip to the Big Game for the 2026 season. He said on Monday:

“Looking for the pattern to repeat itself. It takes a lot of work and a lot of time, but you know, we’re enjoying this time right now before we even get to that point. You know what the end goal is all the time, though.”

The 2026 season will see changes to the coaching staff, as Sean Mannion replaces the much-maligned Kevin Patullo as Nick Sirianni’s offensive coordinator. The former quarterback will also bring a new pass game coordinator with him in former Tampa Bay Buccaneers OC Josh Grizzard, who replaces Parks Frazier.

The defense could also see a new person in charge, as veteran playcaller Vic Fangio was recently revealed to have pondered retirement before ownership and management intervened to convince him to stay, at least for the time being.
