    For the first time ever England does THIS thing in World Cup history

    Tom Banton shone for England with his half-century in ENG vs SCO T20 World Cup 2026 encounter.

    England registered their second win of the T20 World Cup 2026 as they beat Scotland by five wickets at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday. Asked to bat, Scotland got all out for 152. Although, England struggled a bit in the chase, they managed to chase in 18.2 overs.

However, after that England took command of the game and remove batters quickly. Oliver Davidson (20)played a crucial hand, and thanks to that Scotland went past 150, getting all out for 152.

    England also had a horrible chase as openers Phil Salt and Jos Buttler got out for single digits. But, Jacob Bethell (32) and Tom Banton were quick to react and saved the team from collapse.

    They attacked the Scotland bowlers and slammed them all over the park, adding 66 runs for the third wicket. Although, there were a few hiccups in the middle, Banton took the responsibility, hitting a half-century.

    He got crucial support from Sam Curran (28) and Will Jacks, who scored 15*, as England chased the target with five wickets in hand.
