Damian Lillard made sure his return to the hardwood was a memorable one.
Less than a year after tearing his Achilles, Lillard, who is out for the entire 2025-26 season, won the NBA’s 3-point Contest, shooting a final-round 29 to beat Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker by two.
Lillard scored a 27 in the first round to reach the finals, where he also competed against Charlotte Hornets rookie small forward Kon Knueppel. With the victory, he joined two-time NBA champion Craig Hodges and Hall of Famer Larry Bird as the only three-time 3-point challenge winner.

It was a remarkable performance from Lillard, one of the greatest three-point shooters in NBA history. He ranks fifth on the all-time list in makes (2,804), only trailing Stephen Curry (4,233), James Harden (3,318), Ray Allen (2,973) and Klay Thompson (2,837).
