Ever roll up to a big fallen tree that’s a bit beyond your Silky Saw’s capability? And, you know, you could move it but you’re nursing a back thing? Or maybe you’re on the trail crew but aren’t USFS Sawyer certified and also impatient? Don’t worry, there’s a winch for that.
The Dragan Pocket Winch Complete Kit offers a portable manual winch system that’s small and light enough to fit in your hydration pack, but strong enough to drag a giant tree off the trail.
Weighing just 0.96 pounds and packing into a compact 6″ x 2.75″ x 3.15″ pouch, the system delivers 2,000-pounds of pulling capacity with snatch block configuration or 1,000 pounds in single-line mode.

Like any good bike component, it’s made with aerospace-grade aluminum construction, a segmented carbon fiber handle, and a 25-foot high-modulus UHMWPE synthetic fiber line. It comes with a force-doubling pulley system, anchoring slings, and a capio connection device, all contained in a canvas carry pouch.
The system provides 20 feet of pull distance in single-line configuration or 10 feet with the doubler engaged. MSRP is $399, making it a great addition for the local trail crew that you are supporting with your membership…right?
