“I hope I passed”: Drew Allar gets 100% real on “toughest interview” with $6,500,000,000 team’s HC at 2026 NFL

Penn State Nittany Lions quarterback Drew Allar made waves at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine this week after an intense meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers, valued at $6.5 billion (per Forbes), on Thursday.

NFL reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala asked the QB about who was most challenging on the football front.

“I would say coach McCarthy with the Steelers,” Allar said. “We weren’t necessarily up on the board when we did it. I was explaining a lot about of our protections and a couple concepts he was asking me about so you know it was really fun though like those are the conversations I love.”

“I love talking ball, I’m learning as much football as I can. I’ve taken a lot of pride in just trying to be, as you know, football IQ, the highest of like you, I possibly can every year. I try to improve on it every year… I hope I passed, yeah, I feel good in what I was saying.”

After a 2025 season hampered by a broken ankle, Allar is fighting to solidify his spot in the 2026 QB class.
