It’s a bit comical that Castelli’s touting the 2nd generation Espresso cycling kits as having “bolder logos” because, in the grand scheme of cycling kits, these are pretty subdued. And that’s a good thing, because the collection’s colors are modern and sophisticated without shouting, and they all work together to give you maximum flexibility (and days without looking the same).
But enough about the fashion, let’s talk tech…

Espresso 2 Bibshorts
The bibs continue to use Castelli’s Espresso Doppio fabric, which is super soft and has a matte, non-shiny look. A solid 27% Lycra content provides form fitting, mild compression.
Inside is their Progetto X2 Air Seamless seat pad, designed for long-distance riding comfort and with distinct men’s and women’s designs. MSRP is €180,00 / $200.00 / £185.00.

The women’s bibs get a slightly higher waist than before, with a lightweight mesh to support without squeezing your stomach. A revised Drop Tail and stretchier bib straps make bathroom breaks easier without needing to remove layers. Six color options are Ultraviolet, Belgian Blue, Black, Deep Bordeaux, Clay, and Paprika.

Men’s bibshorts also get a raised waistline with softer straps, the latter likely offering some of the same pit stop benefits, just on the other side. Colors are Belgian Blue, Dark Gray, Silver Moon, Smoky Gray, Black, Elmwood, Deep Bordeaux, and Paprika.
Espresso 2 Jerseys

The Espresso 2 jerseys come in short- and long-sleeve options, still with the Air_O Stretch fabric. Compared to the bibs, the tops have minimal Lycra to make them more breathable and improve wicking, but they’re still highly elastic for a sleek fit. It’s lightweight, and thin, but still provides UPF30 sun protection. MSRP is €130,00/ $160.00 / £135.00.

The women’s jersey is slightly longer in the back for more coverage and easier pocket access. It comes in eight colors: Mango Mojito, Purple Mist, Winter Sky, Rosa Giro, Black, Belgian Blue, Ultraviolet, and Silver Moon.
The men’s jersey gets minor, unspecificed fit improvements, and both get tone-on-tone (Bold?) logos, a bit more subtle than the white branding on the bibs. Available in 10 colors: Mango Mojito, Clay, Smoky Gray, Black, Belgian Blue, Vivid Orange, Paprika, Ivory, Neon Cobalt, and Deep Mocha.
