The struggling Golden State Warriors could sure use a healthy Stephen Curry, but the guard is now set to miss more time.
Curry hasn’t played since Jan. 30 because of a right knee issue. On Wednesday, the team reevaluated his injury and determined he will miss at least 10 more days, during which the Warriors play five games. He’ll continue to intensify court work before his next medical exam.
Stephen Curry injury news is terrible timing for Warriors
That couldn’t come at a worse time for Golden State (32-33), which has lost three straight games, including an embarrassing 130-124 home loss to the lottery-bound Chicago Bulls (27-38) on Tuesday night. The losing streak has diminished the Warriors’ chances of making a deep playoff run.
Entering Wednesday, the Warriors had dropped into ninth place in the Western Conference, behind the Los Angeles Clippers (32-32) and Phoenix Suns (38-27). They would face the Portland Trail Blazers (31-35) in the first play-in game if the postseason started Wednesday.
