Dwight Howard defends himself from his wife Amber's allegations and claims he never tried cocaine

Ever since they filed for divorce not long ago, the couple of Dwight Howard and Amy Luciani have been through very troubling times. After some serious claims that involve Howard, cocaine, and Child Protective Services (CPS), the former NBA player has been forced to defend his reputation against these allegations.

These claims were made by Luciani, who stated in a tearful video on Instagram that due to Howard’s drug addiction, CPS took away their daughter from her. Howard, in an attempt to clear his name, took to his Snapchat to issue a direct and unequivocal denial of these ‘false accusations’.

    “He needs some help”

This viral controversy began over the last weekend after Luciani posted this video we talked about. In it, she appeared crying and holding a bag containing a strange white powder, alleging it was Dwight’s, as evidence of his severe cocaine addiction. She said:

“I tried to tell everybody he needs some help. Nobody wanna f***ing listen because he got the money. I live with him, and he needs some help

Amber kept going, revealing some critical information alleging that the situation had become so serious that Child Protective Services (CPS) recently removed their daughter from the home. She claimed the environment had become that dangerous that Dwight convinced his 12-year-old son to lie to authorities to protect his image and integrity.

While the public was engaged in the media fallout this week, the tension inside Howard’s mansion in Suwanee, Georgia has been building for a fortnight. According to reports from the Gwinnett Police Department, officers were dispatched to the residence three separate times in just 14 days, with calls related to: Suicide threats, domestic disturbance, and theft complaint.

    Howard denies all allegations

In his Snapchat response, Howard did not just deny the drug use, he took aim at the internet culture that allowed these ‘false rumors’ to be spread. He laughed at the people who believe everything they see online without proof.

Despite the dueling divorce filings and the heavy accusations, reports suggest that as of Thursday morning, the estranged couple is still living under the same roof at their Georgia home. While he maintains his innocence regarding the drug claims, the legal battle ahead over assets and children’s welfare, promises to be a long and difficult road.
