Marcos Giron vs Ethan Quinn preview

Giron will take on fellow American Quinn in the final of the Arizona Tennis Classic in Phoenix. Giron, ranked No. 69, has enjoyed a solid start to the 2026 season with a 7-5 record on the ATP Tour and a couple of quarterfinal appearances.
He also had a steady 2025 campaign, consistently competing on the main tour. Giron has looked sharp throughout the tournament, including a strong quarterfinal win over fourth seed Nuno Borges 7-6(8), 6-2.
Quinn, ranked No. 73, has been one of the rising names on the American circuit. The 21-year-old holds a 4-4 record on the main tour in 2026, but his season has already featured some impressive wins. At the Australian Open he produced a breakout run to the third round, defeating Tallon Griekspoor and Hubert Hurkacz along the way.
The young American has carried that confidence into Phoenix. Quinn has battled through a tough draw and will now play his first Challenger final of the season, hoping to cap a strong week with the title against a more experienced opponent.
Marcos Giron vs Ethan Quinn head-to-head

Marcos Giron vs Ethan Quinn prediction

Giron opened with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 win over Daniel Merida, then survived a dramatic battle against Jay Friend 7-5, 4-6, 7-6(9) before beating fourth seed Nuno Borges 7-6(8), 6-2. In the semifinals he rallied past top seed Corentin Moutet 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 to reach the final.
Ethan Quinn has also impressed, beating Alexander Shevchenko, then Michael Mmoh 6-1, 6-3, edging Benjamin Bonzi in two tight tiebreak sets and defeating Billy Harris 7-6, 7-5 in the semifinals.
The final could be close. Giron’s experience may help him control the big moments, but Quinn’s fearless hitting has troubled many opponents this week. If Quinn keeps playing aggressively, this could turn into a tight three-set battle.
Pick: Quinn to win in three.
