San Antonio Spurs vs. LA Clippers Preview
The Spurs defeated the Charlotte Hornets 115-102 in their previous game on Saturday. Wembanyama was once again masterful for the Spurs, missing out on a triple-double by just two assists. He stuffed the stat sheet with 32 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and four blocks.
Stephon Castle once again recorded double-digit assists along with his 15 points. The Spurs were without their rookie Dylan Harper, who is sidelined once again with a right calf contusion. Joining him on the sidelines is Luka Kornet, who scored 10 points off the bench against the Hornets.
Meanwhile, the biggest concern for the Clippers ahead of this blockbuster matchup is Kawhi Leonard’s health. The veteran superstar exited the previous game against the Sacramento Kings with an ankle injury, as the Clippers sustained a 118-109 loss. He scored 31 points in 26 minutes before heading to the locker room.
He is listed as doubtful on the injury report with a left ankle sprain. If he misses out, Darius Garland and Bennedict Mathurin will have to shoulder a major offensive load. Garland scored 25 points against the Kings, while Mathurin chipped in with 24 points off the bench.
