Week 1 saw two clubs make their debuts, Sophia Wilson return from Maternity leave, and Savannah King returning from last summer’s major medical scare. Here are 11 thoughts from the weekend. We’ll do this every Monday following NWSL match weeks. Some points will be factual, some will be opinion-based, and some will just be random statements or observations. Here we go for Week 1. I. Timing of replays remains a frustration Arriving home after the trip to Boston for the Legacy home opener, I had missed the two Victory+ matches as they happened. I was able to watch the 1st half of Pride-Reign before the second was delayed by weather. Realizing I could not fast forward, I switched to Angel City/Stars. No dice. Video not available. Back to Pride/Reign to wait out the delay, and that match was similarly unavailable. As of mid-Monday morning on the East Coast, neither were available.
