Whimsy Wax, Lucid Awl, and Dreamweave Steel are usually used to level up a character’s Trace/abilities and ascend their levels. Currently, the materials can be farmed by defeating Imagenated creatures in Planarcadia over and over again. Moreover, you can get a decent amount of Whimsy Wax from Assignments.
Besides that, Simulated/Divergent Universe, Embers Exchange store, and Planarcadia Golden Calyxes are the best sources to get your hands on these materials.

Farming The Fluffy Hand-drawn Storyboards Serialization Memorial Issue, and Collector’s Edition in Honkai Star Rail is exceptionally easy. All you have to do is complete the Bud of Elation Crimson Calyx continuously and consume Trailblaze Power.
The Calyx is located in World’s End Tavern in Planarcadia. Moreover, farming these materials during the Garden of Plenty event will be beneficial, as you won’t have to spend much Trailblaze Power.
Vanquished Flow’s Reticence
Vanquished Flow’s Reticence is an advanced Trace level up material for certain characters. The item can be farmed from the Rusted Crypt of the Iron Carcass Echo of War located in Amphoreus’ Memortis Shore Ruins of Time.
