Jade Cargill has dropped a bombshell regarding WWE SummerSlam. The Women’s Champion is set to face Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas for the Title.
Both stars were involved in a heated online feud after Ripley won the women’s Elimination Chamber to earn the Championship opportunity. Since then, they have confronted each other on SmackDown a few times as they continue to build to the match in Las Vegas.
Thanks for the submission!
However, Jade Cargill is already setting her eyes beyond WrestleMania 42. During an appearance on the Complex Graps podcast, she was asked about her plans for 2026 if she retains her Title at the Show of Shows.
She said she is going to retain the Championship and said she would like to face Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam.
“The person I want to see at SummerSlam, since I’m not seeing them at ‘Mania, is Charlotte Flair. It’s already there,” she said.
The Women’s Champion then explained why she wants to face The Queen, saying she brings out the best in her opponents.
“It’s about breaking her. She’s stoic; I am stoic. But she’s very, like, you know. So I think it will be a great match. And I know Charlotte is known for pulling people up and making them better, that’s the people I want to work with,” she added.
SummerSlam will be held at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on August 1 and 2.
Jade Cargill said Rhea Ripley wasn’t her dream WrestleMania match
During the conversation on Complex Graps, Jade Cargill said she thought she would be facing Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania this year. She said WWE had teased it, and it is a money-making match.
Cargill added that she didn’t “dream book” the match against Rhea Ripley in Las Vegas and wanted to face The Queen.
This could also be seen as a shot at the Eradicator given their recent history. It now remains to be seen whether Ripley responds to these comments as the tension continues to build for their blockbuster showdown.
