Eritrea visit the Somhlolo National Stadium in Lobamba on Tuesday to face Eswatini for the second leg of their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The Red Sea Camels won the first leg of their preliminary round tie 2-0 on Wednesday, with Siem Eyob-Abraha and Ali Sulieman netting apiece in the final 10 minutes of the clash.
It gives the East African side a healthy advantage ahead of the second leg as Eritrea surpassed expectations in their first qualifier in over six years.
Thanks for the submission!
Hesham Yakan’s side are now a draw away from reaching the first round, that is, unless Eswatini somehow manage to overturn the deficit with a big performance here.
But here’s the catch: the King’s Shield haven’t won an official fixture in two years. Their last win came on 20 March 2024, when they picked up a 3-0 win over Somalia in the first leg of their AFCON qualifier tie.
There have been 16 games since, and Eswatini’s barren run continues with no end in sight.

Eswatini vs Eritrea Prediction
Eritrea are in the driving seat after their 2-0 win in the first leg last week. The Red Sea Camels just need a draw here to advance into the next round, and should be able to achieve that without much hassle against a struggling Eswatini side that have not won a game in two years.
Prediction: Eswatini 1-1 Eritrea
