Matteo Berrettini, after falling just short of the quarterfinals against João Fonseca at the Monte Carlo Masters, is currently spending his time away from court with his girlfriend Vanessa on a romantic beach getaway. Vanessa recently shared a private moment on her social media, where the couple was seen sharing a cozy embrace on a yacht against a scenic sunset.
Vanessa kept it simple and classy in an oversized white tee, while the Italian wildcard donned black swimming trunks as he wrapped his arms around his girlfriend. Her heartwarming caption confirmed that the romantic escape was to celebrate the former No. 6’s 30th birthday in private.
Thanks for the submission!
“What a beautiful surprise this life has given me! +30 vecchietto Happy birthday 🤍”Matteo Berrettini’s girlfriend Vanessa posted on social media.
After months of speculation about their relationship, Barrettini and Vanessa confirmed it in October 2025 with an elevator selfie they posted on their social media. The photo was posted as part of her birthday carousel. Vanessa’s older sister, Jessica Bellini, later confirmed that the lovebirds first met at a Marracash concert, where they were instantly drawn to each other. Almost immediately after, the professional dancer introduced the Italian tennis champ to her close family and friends.
Matteo Berrettini defeats former World No. 1 Daniil Medvedev at the Monte Carlo Masters in under 50 minutes
The 29-year-old Matteo Barrettini shocked the world as he handed an embarrassing defeat, 6-0, 6-0, to the former World No. 1 in the second set of the Monte Carlo Masters. Daniil Medvedev missed two game points in the opening match. Subsequently, he made 30 unforced errors and did not score a single game point on his serve in that match.
“I think it was one of the best performances of my life” Matteo Berrettini remarked after his massive win vs. Medvedev (source: ATP Tour).
“I faced two break points in the first game and then after that it felt I was playing better than him. I was not expecting to win zero, zero like that.” – Barrettini added to his previous comment.
Following Daniil Medvedev‘s double bagel defeat against Barrettini, the World No. 10 smashed his racket seven times on the red clay court in a heated moment before dumping the dismantled frame in a trash can. The Russian received a code violation for his unsportsmanlike conduct and will likely be charged with a lump-sum sports penalty.
