Every contract signed in the NFL comes with risk for both player and team, but few deals go as poorly as the one between the San Francisco 49ers and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk.
After holding out of 2024 training camp for a contract extension, Aiyuk got his deal before looking lackluster then suffering a season-ending injury just seven games into the season. That turned out to be his final appearance for San Francisco after a tumultuous and perplexing couple of years.
Now, the 49ers are expected to release the Arizona State product before training camp after already voiding the guarantees in his four-year, $120 million contract extension.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Before his injury in 2024, Aiyuk was coming off of back-to-back 1,000-receiving-yard seasons and 13-combined TD receptions in those campaigns. With that being said, can you name every 1,000-yard receiver in the NFL from the 2023-24 season?
