While Enola Holmes 4 has not been announced, several cast members have shared their enthusiasm about returning if Netflix decides to continue the franchise. Himesh Patel, who plays Dr. Watson, revealed that he has not heard any updates about a fourth movie but said he would happily reprise the role. In an interview with Decider, he stated:

“I haven’t heard anything. We are just here to enjoy number three coming out into the world. I would love to go again. I’d love to step into those shoes again.”

Millie Bobby Brown, who stars as the lead and also serves as a producer, has been equally positive about another sequel. In separate interviews, she said she would gladly return if Netflix moves forward with a fourth film. In an interview with Digital Spy, the Stranger Things star said:

“I’ll be there if Netflix is.”

The Enola Holmes film franchise has grown into one of Netflix’s most popular mystery series in the classic Sherlock Holmes universe. The movies feature Millie Bobby Brown as the fierce young sleuth Enola Holmes, Henry Cavill as her famous brother Sherlock, Louis Partridge as her ally and love interest Lord Tewkesbury, and Helena Bonham Carter as their unconventional mother, Eudoria.

The first film in the series premiered on Netflix on September 23, 2020. It introduces Enola after her mother mysteriously disappears on her sixteenth birthday. Refusing to follow society’s expectations, she sets out to find her mother and crosses paths with the runaway Viscount Tewkesbury. As Enola uncovers a political conspiracy surrounding him, she proves herself to be just as skilled as her famous brother Sherlock.

In the second film, which was released on November 4, 2022, Enola opens her own professional detective agency seeking to step out of Sherlock’s shadow, but struggles to find clients. She finally lands her first official case: finding a missing girl who works at a local match factory. The investigation plunges Enola into the dark, exploitative underbelly of industrial London.

In the latest part, which was released on Netflix on July 1, 2026, Enola travels to Malta for what is supposed to be her wedding to Tewkesbury. However, she gets caught up in solving a mystery involving stolen Afghan gold, political corruption, and the return of Moriarty.
