How to get
The Dog can be bought on the Fall Harvest Event map for 50,000 Leaves, which is less expensive than every other pet in the event. It has a random chance to appear anywhere on the map, and if you spot it, you can interact with it to secure the purchase. If another player claims the pet, you can engage in a bidding war before they escort the pet to their farm to try to add it to your collection instead. If you can outbid the other player, the pet will be added to your inventory instead.
You can reach the Fall Harvest map by speaking to the Explorer NPC. Upon doing so for the first time, you will be starting a fresh farm separate from the version in the main game. This entails building this new garden from the ground-up and nurturing Crops that sell for Leaves instead of Sheckles. Of course, you can always access the regular game by speaking to the Explorer NPC and warping back.
Note that the Fall Harvest Event will end on September 30, 2026, after which the associated gameplay elements will become inaccessible.
