Movistar Secures Last-Minute Rights to Ultimate Frisbee in Spain — Subscribers-Only TV – Athletics News

Last-minute development. According to Revista Corredor, Movistar has secured in the last hours the television rights to the World Athletics Ultimate Championship, which begins this Friday in Budapest.

The acquisition was closed almost at the deadline and it has not yet appeared in Movistar Plus+’s schedule for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The platform already regularly offers the Diamond League.

The event will not be broadcast openly in Spain: only Movistar Plus+ subscribers will be able to follow it.

In addition, it will not be available in Spain through the World Athletics platform either, since Movistar holds the broadcasting rights for our country.

Thus, Spanish fans will finally be able to enjoy on television a championship that will feature Marta García, Jaël Bestué, Quique Llopis, Mohamed Attaoui and the mixed 4×100 relay.

The Revista Corredor will be in Budapest with three reporters dispatched to cover the three days of the championship, with interviews of the protagonists in the mixed zone and a round-table discussion at the end of each day to analyze everything that happened at the new major global athletics event.
