Feyenoord boss Arne Slot appeared to rule himself out of the Tottenham job.
Slot had been one of Spurs’ top targets, but has said he intends to stay at the Dutch club.
He said: “I have been hearing a lot of rumours going around about other club’s interest in me. Although I am thankful my wish is to stay at Feynoord and continue working on what we created last year.
“There is not – and there has not been – transfer conversation and yesterday’s meeting was exclusively for an extension. All talks with the club have always been only in that sense. Looking forward to next season with Feyenoord.”
