Premier League fans, beware: Saudi Pro League clubs can still sign top-flight players.
Like most of Europe, the English transfer window slammed shut on Friday night.
Fuelled by an influx of Saudi cash, Premier League clubs were able to spend a record-breaking £2.36billion.
But this is the part where the arrival of the Public Investment Fund becomes truly problematic.
The PIF owns four Saudi Pro League clubs – Al Ahli, Al Hilal, Al Ittihad and Al Nassr – giving them a bottomless budget to lure the world’s top players.
FIFA have their transfer deadline day listed as Wednesday, September 20.
Meanwhile, on the league’s website, it is claimed teams have until Thursday, September 7 to sign players.
Either way, the Saudis can snatch Premier League players beyond England’s deadline, possibly leaving clubs unable to find a replacement.
That could present difficulties for Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham, who may struggle to keep known targets on board.

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)
There is only one place to start.
Al Ittihad had a £150million bid for Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah rejected on deadline day.
But the Saudi Pro League side are planning on returning as they prepare a world-record offer of £200m for the Egyptian winger.
The Reds maintain the 31-year-old is not for sale, however the Saudis are determined to make him their marquee player.

Ibrahima Konate (Liverpool)
The France star was linked with a move to Al Ittihad after they were rejected by Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo.
Liverpool have already been raided by Saudi Arabia this summer with Fabinho and Jordan Henderson moving to the Middle East.
Konate is currently injured and, with Virgil van Dijk suspended, Jurgen Klopp has a shortage at centre-back.
Like Salah, Liverpool would not sell Konate without a fight.

Gabriel Magalhaes (Arsenal)
Arsenal fans have been left confused by the lack of minutes for Gabriel this season.
Despite an injury to Jurrien Timber, Mikel Arteta has opted to keep Ben White in the middle, using midfielder Thomas Partey, Jacob Kiwior and Takhiro Tomiyasu at full-back.
Gabriel’s sudden drop down the ranks has led to rumours of a possible Saudi transfer.
However, with Rob Holding joining Crystal Palace on deadline day, a Gabriel exit would leave Arteta lacking defensive depth.

Nicolas Pepe (Arsenal)
The Gunners still need to recoup some cash after spending more than £200m on Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Timber.
Their former record signing Pepe is still on the books despite having no place in the club’s plans this season or beyond.
Arsenal know they will not be able to recover much of the £72m spent on the 28-year-old in 2019.
But the Saudi Pro League looks like their last hope after failing to shift the winger before September 1.
Turkey is also an option for Pepe, with Super Lig clubs able to make signings until September 8.

Hugo Lloris (Tottenham)
The former Spurs captain has not featured in a single matchday squad under Ange Postecoglou.
But the club have been unable to find a suitable home for the 36-year-old, who has one year left on his contract and will not sign a new deal.
