Erling Haaland may have picked up an injury only days before Manchester City meet Liverpool in a huge Premier League clash.
The striker fell to the ground holding his ankle after coming off the bench during Norway’s 2-0 win over the Faroe Islands on Thursday.
He looked in a lot of pain as he clutched his leg, raising concerns over whether he would be fit for Man City’s crucial upcoming fixture.
Is Erling Haaland injured?
Haaland seemed to suffer a twisted ankle, which is a similar injury he had when substituted at half-time against Bournemouth earlier this month.
However, after his latest issue, he continued to play the remainder of the game, which is a positive sign that it is not too serious.
Norway’s team doctor Ola Sand gave an update on the 23-year-old’s knock on Thursday.

He said: “It was the same as what happened against Bournemouth a week-and-a-half ago.
“He has had it before too. He gets a slight twist in his ankle, where he is a bit vulnerable.
“It hurts a lot right away, and then it goes away pretty quickly. Then we’ll see tomorrow how he is then.
“Now he will receive some treatment, then there will be peace and rest and then we will see how he is tomorrow morning.”
“We have already spoken to City. Erling has spoken to both Manchester City and Mario [Pafundi] already.”
Both Haaland’s club as well as his country will be hoping for some positive news once his injury has been fully assessed.
Norway have a crunch Euro 2024 qualifier coming up on Sunday, with a win needed to secure a place in the play-offs.
And Man City have Liverpool in the Premier League next Saturday as the top two in the table meet for a blockbuster at the Etihad.
Haaland has scored 17 goals in 18 games this season and will, of course, be a massive miss should this injury lead to a spell on the sidelines.
