IPL 2023 is all set to start in one month and Delhi Capitals is yet to announce the replacement of Rishabh Pant. Sourav Ganguly, the director of cricket for Delhi Capitals, has acknowledged that the team hasn’t made up its mind about Rishabh Pant’s injury.
IPL 2023 is less than a month away, and Ganguly said that a choice will be made during the upcoming preseason camp. Pant met with a car accident last year and he is still in recovery. The favorites to replace Pant in the DC team are Abhishek Porel and Sheldon Jackson.
While speaking on the replacement of Pant to Delhi Capitals, Ganguly said, “We still need a bit of time to figure it out. The next camp starts before the IPL.”
Ganguly also gave an update regarding the finger injury of Sarafaraz Khan and said, “The IPL is still a month away and the season has just started. It is difficult to get all the players together for the amount of cricket they play. There are four or five who are playing Irani Trophy. Sarfaraz has an injured finger and it’s not a broken finger. He should be okay for the IPL.”
On April 1, DC will face the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) to start their IPL 2023 campaign. Under Pant’s leadership, the team had seven victories in 14 games and finished fifth last season.
