Axar Patel hasn’t bowled much in the first two Test matches, according to Team India captain Rohit Sharma, since Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin have performed so well. He believed that when a team uses three spinners, the third one frequently bowls rarely and that there is nothing that can be done to prevent this.
The top two wicket-takers in the current Border-Gavaskar Trophy match versus Australia are Jadeja and Ashwin. The off-spinner has 14 victories to his record compared to the left-arm spinner’s 17 wickets. Axar, on the other hand, has just one wicket in two Test matches from 26 overs.

Third Spinner Is Always Under-bowled: Rohit Sharma
Despite having little involvement with the ball, Axar has scored significant half-centuries in both Tests. He will probably keep his spot in the starting Lineup for the Indore Test as a consequence. On Tuesday, February 28, Rohit Sharma discussed Axar’s sparse bowling in the first two Tests during a press conference. He clarified:
“Ashwin and Jadeja have both bowled really well, so I have to continue to make them bowl them as much as possible. If you have three spinners, you know that the third spinner is always under-bowled. It’s been Axar in these two Test matches. You never know who the guy will be in the next two Test matches.

“If guys are getting wickets from both sides, you’ve got to continue to bowl them. That’s how it is. You can’t really do too much.”
Axar ranks second in the Test series against Australia in terms of runs scored. He has scored 158 runs at an average of 79.00 in two games.
It Comes Naturally To Ravindra Jadeja: Rohit Sharma
Ravindra Jadeja is renowned for not just taking a tonne of wickets but also for delivering his overs rapidly and giving the hitters the little opportunity to settle down. According to Rohit Sharma, the quality comes quite naturally to the all-around player. The man said:
“It comes very naturally to Jadeja. By the time you are walking back to your field, he is already ready to bowl the next ball. Sometimes it is difficult for me to adjust the field. If I want to push a guy a couple of yards behind, this guy is already on the run-up to bowl.”
The lefty keeps the batsmen on their toes by completing his overs rapidly, according to Rohit Sharma. He clarified:
“When you are trying to gather your thoughts, the last thing you want as an opposition is to give them enough time to think about what they want to do out in the middle. Those are little tactical parts of the game that you always need to think about.
“When the new batter walks in, guys need to be ready in their positions. The bowler needs to be ready with the ball in hand and not give them enough time to talk in between.”
At Nagpur and Delhi, Jadeja won Player of the Match honors. March 1 marks the start of the third Test in Indore.
