Did Stetson Bennett declare for NFL Draft 2023?

On Jan. 9, Stetson Bennett marked the end of his Georgia career at the SoFi Stadium by becoming the first quarterback in programme history to guide the Bulldogs to consecutive national titles.

Bennett, 25, is on par with or older than several quarterbacks who have been a part of the NFL for multiple seasons.

Jalen Hurts, 24, is the quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, who were beaten by the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl last month.

Then there are players like Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert and Tua Tagovailoa, who also assisted their teams in making the playoffs in 2022. Each of them is at least a few months younger than Bennett. Months before Bennett even got to play a game as Georgia’s starting QB, all four aforementioned players were already selected in the 2020 NFL draft.

Despite Bennett’s college success, there are still doubts over his attendance at the 2023 NFL Draft in April. In fact, a lot of draft experts doubt he will be selected at all. If he gets selected, it will probably be as a second-string QB, which will likely be towards the end of the draft.

Stetson Bennett is expected to be available for the upcoming draft, as he attended the NFL Combine and was superb in the drills.

What will Stetson Bennett bring to NFL?

With 205 running yards and 68.1% of throws completed for 4,128 yards and 27 TDs against seven INTs in 15 games, Stetson Bennett had his finest college campaign in 2022.

Bennett would offer great expertise to any NFL team that picks him. He doesn’t commit many errors and is extremely precise in ball distribution, as is evident in his college exploits. Any team would be fortunate to have him on their roster as a reliable backup. He already enjoys legendary status in Georgia and has great expectations for his NFL career.

He dazzled the audience at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis with his amazing arm talent and caused a stir with his impressive speed.

Bennett placed first among all quarterbacks in the 20-yard shuttle at the combine and outran all wideouts except four. With 4.20 seconds, only Ronnie Bell, Bryce Ford-Wheaton, Andrei Iosivas and Jaxon Smith-Njigba were faster than Bennett.
