Jets send ‘contingent’ to California to try to woo Aaron Rodgers to New York

The New York Jets are taking their nickname seriously. They’re also taking the words of their owner, Woody Johnson, seriously.

Back in February, Johnson said that the Jets were going to get serious at quarterback and bring in a veteran who can lead the team — the best one available. It’s now being reported that Johnson and a cadre of team officials have flown out to California.

Their target is none other than Aaron Rodgers.
