Twitter is a cesspit at times, but Laura Woods showed perfectly how to deal with the trolls.
The talkSPORT host posted a picture on social media over the weekend that drew a bizarre response from one Tottenham fan.
They wrote: “Bore off, you woke Arsenal b****.”
Woodsy decided to quote tweet this message… and fire back with a hilarious, and brutal, response to the sad individual.
The Arsenal supporter wrote back: “Insulting me still won’t make your team fun to watch, Julian.”
That drew thousands of likes and replies backing her taking on the troll.
Fellow Gunner, and TalkTV host, Piers Morgan loved it and replied with laughing emojis.
Former Charlton and Norwich striker, then turned boxer, Leon McKenzie said: “Although you shouldn’t even reply, to foolishness….I actually enjoy the humour when you do.”
Another Twitter user said: “Disgraceful tweet by Julian but handled like a boss by Laura.”
One added: “‘Got re-tweeted and owned by Laura Woods’. I think Spurs fans count that as a trophy.”
The bitterness of Tottenham fans is palpable at the moment, especially on social media.
They watched Arsenal extend their lead at the top of the Premier League to five points on Sunday with a dismantling.
The Gunners are on course for their first title in nearly two decades, meanwhile Spurs are fighting to hold onto fourth place.
