‘What the hell is this?’: Victor Wembanyama stuns as ‘outrageous’ moment goes viral

NBA prodigy Victor Wembanyama has gone viral once again.

The 7-foot-4 Wembanyama, who plays for Metropolitans 92 in France and is the likely top pick in this year’s NBA draft, was dribbling the ball on the left wing stepping back to shoot a 3-point jump shot during Sunday’s game.

The step-back 3-pointer would clank iron, but the 19-year-old charged the basket, caught the ball in mid-air as if it were an alley-oop, and slammed it home in one motion.

The play was something to behold, and the NBA world watched this play in awe.

“We’ve never seen a put back 3 of your own miss……Don’t underhype this,” the top comment on the NBA’s Instagram account exclaimed.

The post had over 370,000 likes in just two hours, and the play has been trending on Twitter.

Wembanyama may be the most sought-after NBA prospect since LeBron James in 2003.

He is widely expected to be the top prospect chosen in the NBA Draft on June 22.

But his destination will be decided on May 16 when ping-pong balls are drawn at the NBA Draft Lottery.
