Kim Kardashian’s ‘doppelganger’, Christina Ashten Gourkani, passed away after she suffered a cardiac arrest following a major plastic surgery operation. ‘Ashten G’- as she was known as on Instagram- died on April 20 while she was recovering from the surgery.
The 34-year-old influencer, who had a big following on Instagram- 618,000 to be precise, was famous for bearing an incredible resemblance to the US’s most famous socialite, Kim Kardashian.
Gourkani’s family broke the news of her death via Instagram. “It is with deep sorrow and an [immensely] heavy broken heart that we have to share the most shattering, unfortunate and unexpected passing of our beautiful beloved daughter and sister Christina Ashten Gourkani,” they posted.
The family have since started a GoFundMe page to raise money for the funeral medical tribute. So far, they have raised $3790 from 38 donations, which is roughly $36 thousand away from the $40 thousand target.
The family also explained that the death is being investigated as a possible homicide related incident. “Her sudden and tragic passing is currently being investigated as a homicide related to medical procedure that took a turn for the worse. For the privacy of Christina Ashten, our family and the investigation no other details will be shared at this time,” they explained on their GoFundMe page.
