On Saturday June 10, Pep Guardiola and Manchester City made history. City won the first Champions League title in their history under the Spanish coach, who has now won three Champions League trophies and a new treble after the one he won with Barcelona.
They beat Inter 1-0 in the final in Istanbul, with a goal from a Spaniard, Rodri. It was a triumph that the coach’s fans celebrated, including his daughter, Maria Guardiola.
She dedicated several stories to her father. First with a “f*** yes”, just after the match, and then she posted an edit of his time at Barcelona and in England with: “The greatest”.
Pep also left several phrases to remember after winning the Champions League, first with a message to Real Madrid: “Don’t let Real Madrid get complacent, we’re 13 Champions Leagues behind, we’re going to get them”.
