Laura Woods has joked she is revelling in the uproar made by Tottenham fans following her tongue-in-cheek comment to James Maddison.
The ex-talkSPORT Breakfast show host – now working for TNT Sports – was quick to question the England international’s move to Spurs this summer.

A known Arsenal fan, Woods revealed she was jealous that her beloved Gunners failed to snap him up from Leicester.
And she was also quick to pry on what persuaded the 26-year-old to join Ange Postecoglou’s side – a team that aren’t playing in Europe this season.
Through laughter, she said: “Why Spurs? Why did you do it? Why did you decide to go to Spurs?”
Maddison found the funny side at the light-hearted jibe, but Spurs fans on social media weren’t laughing, with many accusing Woods of being unprofessional.
Delighted at the response from the Spurs faithful, Woods took to Twitter to add fuel to the fire.
She quipped: “Just got off a flight and see I’m trending for upsetting Spurs fans. Wonderful.”
And the 36-year-old was more than happy to reply to disgruntled Tottenham supporters in the comments.
After being told she is employed by TNT Sports to be a ‘neutral presenter’, Woods messaged: “No I’m not actually.
“I’m employed to have a personality too. Lighten up, Phil. Jesus.”

One angry fan then stated that no-one takes her views seriously, with Woods brilliantly hitting back: “Well not Spurs fans, but I’m OK with that.”
Though one Tottenham fan did find her interaction with Maddison humorous, as he said: “As a Spurs fan I thought it was quite funny.
“Breakfast on talkSPORT [is] not the same without you.”
To which Woods stated: “Thought it was obvious I was gutted you guys snapped him up! And I miss that lot too.”
