Max Verstappen breaks Formula One consecutive win record at the Italian Grand Prix

It’s been 10 years since Sebastian Vettel’s record-setting nine straight wins with Red Bull Racing. It was a stunning achievement for the Austrian team at the time, capping off a run of four straight World Drivers’ Championships.

Red Bull has had a difficult run since then. It lost the next seven drivers’ championships to Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, failing to develop a car that could rival their mighty Mercedes.

But the past few years — and the rise of Dutch driver Max Verstappen — have seen a sea change for Red Bull Racing. He’s taken home the past two championships, and Sunday at the Italian Grand Prix, he broke Vettel’s record with his 10th straight victory.
