He made four saves in 50 minutes during a 4-0 win over Warren Wilson, and he made five saves for his first collegiate shutout in a 1-0 victory against Guilford.
As the Methodist women’s soccer team earned a 1-1 record last week, freshman Yaneli Sanchez picked up another Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week award (another “three-peat” award winner). She scored Methodist’s lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Guilford, then scored again in Saturday’s 10-0 victory versus Warren Wilson, extending her streak to five matches with at least one goal scored.
