    Gudaf Tsegay breaks women’s 5000m world record by nearly five seconds – video

    Ethiopia’s Gudaf Tsegay broke the world record in the women’s 5000 metres at the Prefontaine Classic, running the distance in 14:00.21 and beating her personal best by almost 12 seconds. The previous record of 14:05.20 was set by Kenya’s Faith Kipyegon earlier this year in Paris.
