Quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been listed in the injury report by the Chiefs with the flu, according to Ian Rapoport from NFL Network.
The Chiefs are slated to play the Broncos in Denver in the second slate of games for Week 8 of the NFL.
According to Rapoport during NFL Network’s “GameDay Morning” show, Mahomes has been receiving an IV“around the clock” in order to get ready for the game.
Denver has received over six inches of snow in the past 24 hours and reports say the game will be played in 27 degree weather.
Mahomes is expected to play even though he won’t be 100% for the high-altitude game against the division rivals.
The Chiefs are 6-1 so far this season, only dropping their season opener against the Detroit Lions.
Mahomes has 15 touchdowns and 6 interceptions in the first seven games of the season.
