The summer of 2023 marked a huge change for Harry Kane as he completed a huge move from Tottenham to Bayern Munich.
The England captain ended his 19 years with Spurs in the pursuit of major honours, and the Bundesliga giants shelled out a considerable fee for Kane.
The striker only had a year left on his deal in north London but after scoring 30 league goals in a poor Tottenham side, Daniel Levy still got a large sum for Kane.

How much did Bayern Munich pay for Harry Kane?
Bayern completed a deal for Kane last summer worth an initial £82million.
This was reported to be £100m by various outlets, with the addition of add-ons taking the fee well past that mark.
However, Bayern Munich‘s former president and board member Uli Hoeness revealed the club didn’t in fact pay such a fee.
Speaking to BR24, he said: “We only spent 95 million Euros [on Kane].”

To put this into context, Manchester United paid the same for Antony in the summer of 2022, and he’s struggled badly.
Meanwhile, Kane is already scoring frequently in the Bundesliga and Champions League.
But despite Bayern paying an initial £82m, there is a strong possibility the deal will rise to over £100m.
The add-ons included in the deal are linked to personal milestones and club achievements.
However, as is the case with the majority of these things, the details around what makes up these add-ons are unclear.
But there is a further twist.

Spurs have a buyback clause inserted into Kane’s contract.
Levy confirmed its existence at a fans’ forum, but he refused to provide much detail.
A buyback clause sounds enticing for Tottenham, but the Daily Mail’s Sami Mokbel believes it’s not a straightforward clause.
He claims it’s a first option to buy should Kane return to the Premier League, while Spurs would still need to agree a fee with Bayern.
So if Kane were to return to Tottenham at some point, Bayern could end up paying a lot less than the initial £82m they shelled out.
