Heinrich Klaasen opened up about his innings and said that he had to be patient in his innings. He said that he had belief in himself and knew once he hit a few strikes, he would be in. The batter also talked about his battle with Imran Tahir. He elaborated:
“Nerves are fine. The wicket was tough. They bowled exteremly well and I Had to be really, really patient. I thought I picked the right bowler (Tahir) to get the innings started again. I knew one or two strikes away and my strike-rate will improve and that came from experience.
“I knew Tahir was going to bowl on the fuller side. If you bowl the right length there is something in it. Hopefully this is enough tonight. The catching (from the crowd) has been poor whole tournament. Very happy that someone took it tonight.”
Apart from Heinrich Klaasen, Wiaan Mulder was the main hero for the Durban Super Giants. After the keeper-batter got out, the all-rounder took the fort and made sure that his team cashed on the start they got and ended up with a big total on board.
