Liam Gallagher revelled in Manchester City’s rivals’ struggles as both Liverpool and Arsenal fell to defeats in the title race.
The Reds and the Gunners both missed out on the opportunity to overtake the reigning champions at the top of the Premier League with defeats at home to Crystal Palace and Aston Villa respectively.
Liverpool fell to a 1-0 defeat against the Eagles at Anfield before Arsenal were beaten 2-0 by Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium.
With City thumping Luton 5-1 on Saturday, they are top of the pile and sit two points ahead of both clubs with six games left to play in the league this season.
And diehard City fan Gallagher was quick to take to social media and poke fun at Liverpool and Arsenal for losing ground in the title race.
“To all my LFC fan boys listen up,” the rock legend said on X shortly after Liverpool were beaten whilst sharing a link to the Beastie Boys’ song Mmm Drop.

Gallagher then added: “Liverpool are f****** s*** da da da da da yurgon [sic] Klopps a f****** tit Jamie caragss [sic] crying hard da da da da Man City are the f****** b***** as you were Terry Barry Gary Larry Harry LG x”
A while later, he said: “Never felt more like singing the blues, City win the scousers lose oh city you got me singing the blues.”
Arsenal were next for Gallagher’s jibes as he also shared the Beastie Boys’ aforementioned song with: “To all my Gooner super fan boys MCFC LG x”
“AFC sit down,” he added after the Gunners lost to Villa, before his social media antics ended with: “Don’t f*** with the Villa.”
Many would have predicted City to end the day third in the table and one point behind Arsenal and Liverpool.
However, the two results have changed the picture completely and the reigning champions have found themselves in the driving seat.
With the season run-in gaining pace, City have the most games left to play in all competitions compared to their rivals.
All three are competing in Europe, while Pep Guardiola’s side also face an FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea next weekend.
City are chasing a record fourth consecutive title and know they can’t afford to slip up in the final weeks just like Arsenal and Liverpool have done.
Gallagher could very well see his side win back-to-back trebles too, with his beloved club the happier side on Sunday evening.
