Marvel has always chosen the directors of their films with extreme care and paying attention to many details that seem inconsequential to mortals. Little by little, the UCM is heading towards a new ‘Avengers’ film and the director’s chair for this film is one of the most sought after in the entire film industry. Marvel already has its top favorite.
Shawn Levy has emerged as the number one candidate to direct the new ‘Avengers’ film. Kevin Faige already chose him as the one in charge of rescuing the UCM with ‘Wolverine and Deadpool’ and if the expectations placed on this film finally become a reality, the executive would have no doubts that Levy would be the ideal man to achieve all the success possible with his most ambitious project.
The American portal Deadline reports that the director has already received the script of the film, but has not yet confirmed 100% of his participation in the film.
These doubts have caused Marvel to cover their backs and begin to sound the market in search of other candidates, but always making it clear that if Levy accepts, the director’s job already has a name and surname.
The origin of the doubts of the director of ‘Wolverine and Deadpool’ come from his busy schedule. Levy is immersed in the final season of ‘Stranger Things’ and his name has also been mentioned for a new ‘Star Wars’ film. Too many jobs to take on another film that should be finished by mid-2026.
