Muc-Off’s new Road & Gravel tire sealant is an eco-friendly option designed for higher pressures, using a unique blend of particles to help seal punctures quickly.
In addition to the synthetic latex liquid that coats and sticks to the inside of the tire, it adds biodegradable bamboo fibers and natural mineral flakes to clog punctures and cuts. They say it can seal holes up to 7mm at 110psi.
It’s also completely ammonia- and allergen-free (it uses synthetic, not natural, latex), non-toxic, lasts up to six months, and works in temps as low as -15ºC (5ºF). It can even be used with CO2 canisters without freezing or damaging it’s ability to seal.
It’s available in 80ml and 140ml pouches that you can stick directly over your valve stem (remove the core first), and 500ml, 1 liter and 5 liter bottles for home and shop use. Prices from £6 to £128, not yet available in all markets.
