Emile Smith Rowe has seamlessly slotted into life at Fulham by scoring his second goal in as many games.
The Cottagers splashed out a club-record £34million on the 24-year-old earlier this month to bring an end to his 14-year stay at Arsenal.
And the England international instantly showed the Gunners what they were missing by finding the back of the net seven minutes into his Cottagers debut.
Just days after getting on the score sheet against Spanish side Sevilla, he has now helped Fulham end their pre-season campaign with a 2-0 victory over Hoffenheim.
Smith Rowe broke the deadlock against the German outfit at the Rhein-Neckar Arena in the 33rd minute.
He latched onto Alex Iwobi‘s through ball to slide home his second goal in Fulham’s colours.
And he instantly ran towards his ex-Arsenal teammate, with both men graduates of the Hale End academy.
Iwobi was left delighted by Smith Rowe’s strike, with his three-word assessment of the goal echoing the thoughts of every Fulham fan.
In footage shared by the club on X, Iwobi could be heard saying, “That’s my guy!”, before the pair embraced.
Fans were loving the wholesome exchange on social media, as one user said: “Iwobi is that proud big brother.”
Another messaged: “Iwobi and [Calvin] Baseey might be ESR’s biggest fans.”
A third added: “See the joy on Iwobi’s face man I’m so happy for my boys.”
This fan then commented: “Boy is definitely cooking for Fulham this season!”
And one said: “He’s gonna rip it up at the Cottage this year, isn’t he?”
Meanwhile this fan simply stated: “Best player in the world.”
Smith Rowe’s official Fulham debut will come next week when his side face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Friday night.
And he will be looking to keep up his fine pre-season form in his quest to score a first Premier League goal since April 2022.
