“There’s no real….”Steve Smith drops a massive praise about Virat Kohli’s playing style

Describing Kohli’s field approach in a unique manner is Steve Smith, an expert batsman, who said that the Indian batting veteran thinks and acts like an Australian. The fight between the two countries will resume at Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024/25 in which they will face off in five matches primal. The last two editions of this trophy held in Australia were won by India during the periods of 2018/19 as well as 2020/21 respectively .

The way he gets into battle, the way he gets into competition and try to be superior than his opposite side makes him (in my opinion) one of the most Australian players among Indians. This was what Smith stated on a Star Sports video published on ‘X’, formerly Twitter.

Meanwhile Kohli has 80 centuries worldwide including 29 test matches whereas Smith has a total of 9685 runs (which are also 32 centuries) across 109 Tests at an average of 56.97.

“There’s no real way about it really like there’s no I need to beat him or anything it’s just all about going out playing and trying to score as many runs as I can and helping Australia have success and that’s what it’s all about,” he said further.

Smith also stated that they frequently communicate through messages and eagerly await their match against Kohli in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy commencing on November 22.

According to Smith, “We get on very well, share messages from time to time and see now he is a nice guy and undoubtedly a fantastic player. It is going to be really good to face him again this summer.”
