Critical Mass

CHICAGO CRITICAL MASS
Friday, Sept 27, 2024

Last Friday of this month, and every month. Leaves after 6 pm.

THE monthly gathering of bicyclists making their presence known downtown for 25+ years. Slowly winds thru a dozen miles or more. Radically inclusive, thousands attend in good weather. Family-friendly, and suitable for adults and children. There is no organization called the Critical Mass. There is no membership, no officers, no leaders, no rules, no dues, no platform, and no schedule.

Critical Mass: Bicycling’s Defiant Celebration. No registration. It’s a happening, not an organization. It’s a bike ride. Regardless of season or weather, it’s free and fun. All you have to do is show up with your bike.

Please be aware that by participating in Critical Mass rides you accept that you are responsible for your bike’s condition, your own fitness to ride and your own safety. The streets may present hazards. Please wear a helmet. Social Pop-up Ride. Route subject to change. Everyone is responsible for themselves. Ride at your own risk. Please ride in a safe manner. Have Fun! Happy Friday!
